Posterior Tibialis Tendonitis (Shin Splints)

Tis the season for shin splints with soccer, cross country etc. Remember to ice massage post activity. Stretching of the Gastrocnemius and Soleus (Calf) are key.

Also trying compression sleeves over the lower leg can also be very helpful. Evaluation of the feet can also give insight into leg, knee and hip pain.

Gait evaluation may be appropriate if you are having persistent pain, after self help, physical therapy/chiropractic.

Give us a call if you are getting frustrated with your stubborn shin plints, we likely can help!
